what happens after you say yes to india?

you've been thinking about india.

you've looked through the journey.

imagined yourself there.

probably gone backwards and forwards a few times.

and then you do it.

you say yes.

you pay your deposit.

you're coming to india.

so...

what happens next?

this is the part i really want you to know about.

because from that moment, you're not left wondering what you're supposed to do between now and the day you arrive in india.

we've got you.

you don't need to already know when to apply for your visa, which website to use, which flights to look for, what to pack, how you'll use your phone in india, what money you'll need or when any of it needs to happen.

we'll help you navigate it.

not all at once.

and definitely not with a giant list dropped into your inbox that leaves you wondering where to start.

we'll work through it with you as your journey gets closer.

step 1: we’ll get you settled in.

once you're booked, you'll receive access to your own private travel hub.

this becomes the home for your journey.

your itinerary.

accommodation details.

important travel information.

helpful links.

things you'll need to organise.

and the tasks coming up before we leave.

the important part?

you don't have to remember when everything needs doing.

we'll remind you.

step 2: we'll help with the things you haven't done before.

maybe you've applied for an indian visa before.

maybe the words indian visa application are already making you nervous.

either way, when it's time, we'll let you know.

we'll give you the official information and links you need and help you navigate the process if you'd like us to.

the same goes for your international flights.

before you book them, we'll give you the arrival and departure information you need so you know exactly where you're flying into and when you need to be there.

no guessing whether you've booked the right airport or whether your flight arrives at the right time.

we'll give you the information first.

you make your booking from there.

step 3: we'll start getting you ready for india.

as we get closer, the questions usually change.

what should i pack?

what do i wear?

how much luggage can i bring?

what money will i need?

will my phone work?

what about internet?

what will the weather be like?

what do i need to know about food and water?

are there cultural things i should understand before i arrive?

we'll work through those too.

you'll have access to our india travel handbook, which i've developed specifically to help our guests prepare for their journey.

and we'll guide you through what needs your attention as it becomes relevant.

because you don't need everything thrown at you six months before you leave.

you just need the right information at the right time.

step 4: you'll start meeting the people you're travelling with.

before we leave, you'll be invited into our private whatsapp group.

this is when the journey starts to feel a little more real.

names become people.

questions get asked.

conversations start.

the countdown begins.

many of our guests travel solo, and sometimes people discover they're leaving from the same city or even travelling on the same flight.

some decide to meet beforehand.

some find each other at the airport.

some don't meet until india.

there's no expectation either way.

but by the time you arrive, you won't be walking into a group of complete strangers without ever having spoken.

step 5: ask the question.

actually, ask all of them.

there really isn't a silly question.

and you're not being difficult because you need something explained again.

some travellers barely ask me anything.

others have a lot of questions.

both are completely normal.

i've had people feel overwhelmed by parts of preparing for their journey.

i've had people worry they were asking too much.

i've had people simply need me to go through something with them again so they could feel comfortable about what came next.

that's part of travelling somewhere new.

and genuinely, this is one of the parts i love.

because sometimes the difference between dreaming about travelling and actually doing it is simply knowing you don't have to work everything out on your own.

step 6: then one day, it's not preparation anymore.

you land in india.

after all those months of emails, questions, whatsapp conversations, packing and countdowns...

you're actually here.

india.

and you'll already know what happens next.

we'll make sure you have the arrival information you need and know where you'll be met.

from there, you can put the logistics down.

your accommodation is organised.

your private on-ground transport is organised.

the domestic flights and trains included in your journey are organised.

your meals are organised.

your scheduled experiences are organised.

your entry fees, local guides, tips and community contributions are taken care of.

and two experienced journey leaders are travelling with the group throughout.

this is the point where preparing for india ends.

and experiencing it begins.

step 7: we travel with you.

we keep our groups small for a reason.

maximum 12.

we want to actually travel with you.

not wave a flag at the front of a crowd and hope everyone keeps up.

there's room to stop.

ask questions.

notice things.

be curious.

talk to people.

change pace when we need to.

and experience the unexpected little moments that nobody could have written into an itinerary.

and if something comes up along the way, we're there.

you don't have to manage india.

you get to experience it.

step 8: we're there right through to goodbye.

our support doesn't disappear on the final morning.

when our journey together comes to an end, we'll make sure you're returned to the airport for your flight home.

from the moment you pay your deposit and say...

yes, i'm coming

until we wave goodbye in india, you're supported through the journey.

that's the part i want people to understand before they book.

because these journeys don't begin when your plane lands in india.

they begin when you decide you're coming.

so, what do you actually need to know before you say yes?

you don't need to know how to navigate india.

you don't need to know how the visa works yet.

you don't need to have your packing list written.

you don't need to know anyone else who's coming.

you don't even need to have all your questions yet.

we'll get there.

you say yes.

we'll help you navigate the rest.
